Will take place in Seville on 26th, 27th and 28th of October 2010 under the slogan Children´s Rights today: achievements and challenges. ” Which the following three main topics will be addressed:
This event intends to generate a space for awareness and education.
The aim is to implicate all citizens in the strive to achieve the United
Nation’s Millennium Development Goals, in the promotion of effective
measures to combat the worst forms of global poverty and exclusion and
in the thorough development and exercise of children’s rights
The conference is open to representatives from any social body that works
in favor of the development of the International Convention on the Rights
of the Child- Spanish Public Institutions, NGOs, social collectives,
universities and businesses- and aims to provide a place for them to
meet, reflect, communicate and exchange knowledge and experiences.
“Congreso Solidari@ 2010” will be somewhere for all those that work in
favor of children and their rights to share successful experiences and
alliances, building on the lessons learnt and actions driven by UNICEF
Spain.
Finally, the Conference will mark the 20th Anniversary of the Convention
on the Rights of the Child and we therefore invite all the civil society
to UNITE FOR CHILDREN with the objective of achieving the United Nation’s Millenium
Development Goals by the year 2015.
